The Refugee Basketball Academy started with one court and a small group of players. Its next ambition is to reach more young people.
Stephane hopes to expand the academy to other refugee communities and camps in Uganda, so that more youth can access training, mentorship and support to stay in school.
Just as important, he wants refugee youth to see themselves differently: not as people waiting for help, but as people with skills, ideas and futures worth investing in.
